Catalina Salazar Castaño

Group Therapist

My name is Catalina Salazar; I have a bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education and a Master’s degree in Attention to Vulnerable Populations from Colombia. Currently, in the United States, Atlanta, Georgia, I am studying English to improve my skills and opportunities, in addition to
enriching my work experience and my learning in psychosocial issues that allow me to expand
my skills and deliver my knowledge, strengths, and specific knowledge to the environment.
I have experience in group work with teachers, students, families, and adults, and I have
experience training them in soft skills that allow them to strengthen their life projects. Likewise, I
have accompanied educational institutions in incorporating inclusive education in policies,
practices, and institutional cultures. I enjoy accompanying the teaching-learning work with
different population groups through pedagogical strategies that make it possible to link each
subject with their process from other ways of learning, personal experiences, and applying the
acquired lessons in their lives. My passion is to help others have more positive worldviews
about their lives, find their strengths, recover their essence, and use their own tools and
resources to build their life project with resilience and hope.
